An overcast day with a slight south-east breeze. Grounded migrants included 15 Chiffchaff, 6 Blackcap, 2 Whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Snipe, Pied Flycatcher, Spotted Flycatcher, the Lapland Bunting which continued to show by the sea watch hide and a Yellow-browed Warbler was seen briefly at the north end of the reserve. Viz mig included southerly passage of 624 Swallow, 17 Sand Martin, 123 House Martin, 20 Siskin, 4 Chaffinch, 12 Pied Wagtail, 34 Goldfinch, 265 Meadow Pipit & 5 Reed Bunting. Offshore southerly passage involved 2 Shelduck, 12 Brent Geese, 10 Teal and a Guillemot swimming south. On the moth front a Pinion-streaked Snout, another new species for the site was trapped overnight.

32 Birds ringed; 9 Meadow Pipit, 7 Chiffchaff, 7 House Martin, 4 Blackcap, 2 Chaffinch, 2 Goldfinch & 1 Blue Tit.
