An overcast with a light south-easterly brought hope this morning but the only new migrants in were a Reed Warbler and a Lesser Whitethroat. Birds passing south included 11 Swallows and a Redshank and a first summer Med Gull offshore, whilst 5 Brent and a Great Crested Grebe headed north.
A Painted Lady flew in off and headed inland with another found later in the morning were the highlights amongst the butterflies.

13 Birds ringed; 3 Linnet, 3 Greenfinch, 2 Robin, 2 Dunnock, 1 Chaffinch, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Woodpigeon.
